MadeMarket comes up in the same conversation as Avise often enough that it is worth answering directly. Both products say “deal flow.” They mean different things by it.
We are selling you something too, so this page is built on claims you can check. Every statement about MadeMarket below carries the date we verified it and a link to where.
MadeMarket describes itself as “the only deal and relationship management platform designed exclusively for investment bankers,” comparing itself against Affinity, DealCloud, HubSpot and Salesforce.

Read that as written: it is built for the banker running a sell-side process, not the principal on the other end deciding whether to bid. That is not a small distinction. It is the whole comparison.
What MadeMarket does that we do not
This section exists because the version of this page without it is not worth reading.
It is SOC 2 Type I and Type II certified today. MadeMarket’s security page states AICPA SOC 2 Type I and Type II certification, covering security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. Avise’s SOC 2 Type I is in progress; nothing has been issued yet. If a completed certification is a hard gate for your firm right now, that gate cuts in MadeMarket’s favour and it is honest to say so.

- It automates the outbound side of a live process at scale. Per its own deal-execution page, buyer lists build up to 10x faster and teaser and NDA sends go out up to 20x faster by MadeMarket’s own comparison, with email and calendar activity syncing into the CRM automatically. If you are running a sell-side process against a real buyer list, that automation is the job.
- Relationship Intelligence is a built-out feature, not a side effect. A “Relationship IQ” score measures team-to-contact interaction to surface who has the warmest relationship with a given contact, on top of centralised contact profiles.
- Client reporting is one click. Ready-built reports summarise a transaction and its progress for a client without anyone assembling a deck by hand, a real need for a firm running mandates for other people rather than its own book.
- It plugs into the tools a banking team already runs on. Listed integrations include Dealreach, PitchBook and Crunchbase, useful if sourcing and market data already live in those systems.
- It reports real scale. MadeMarket states it has been used across “$500B+” in deal value and “2,000+” deals a year in over 20 countries, the kind of volume a mid-size or larger banking platform runs.
If the job is running a sell-side process for other people, buy MadeMarket. Everything below is about the different job: screening the CIM that just landed against your own live mandate.
The two differences that decide it
1. Sell-side execution against buy-side screening
MadeMarket’s feature set, checked across its homepage and deal-execution page, is built around the outbound motion of a process: build the buyer list, send the teaser, send the NDA, track who opened what, report progress to the client running the mandate. There is no mention anywhere in that feature list of reading a CIM, extracting numbers from one, or a data room for the documents a buyer receives.
Avise starts on the other side of that same email: the CIM that just arrived, the financials inside it, the NDA you need to sign before you can open the data room, the memo you write once you have. Two different jobs, and the honest question is which side of the process you are actually running.
2. One price is public, the other is a sales call
MadeMarket publishes no pricing page. The page returns a 404, and the site routes every pricing question through a “Talk with sales” form instead.

Our price is $249 a month, per firm, whole team included, on the pricing page, where you can read it without talking to anyone. We cannot put the two numbers side by side because MadeMarket has not published one to compare against.

Who should not buy Avise
- You are running a sell-side mandate. If the job is building a buyer list, blasting teasers and NDAs, and reporting progress to a client, MadeMarket was built for exactly that and Avise is not a substitute for any of it.
- A completed SOC 2 report is a hard requirement today. MadeMarket is SOC 2 Type I and Type II certified now. Avise’s Type I is in progress and nothing has been issued yet.
- You need relationship intelligence across a large contact graph. MadeMarket’s Relationship IQ and integrations with PitchBook and Crunchbase are built for a team managing a wide banking network, a different scale problem than a small deal team screening inbound CIMs.
- You want a published price today. If you would rather compare two numbers on a page than start a sales conversation, that comparison is not possible with MadeMarket right now; theirs is not public.
THE ONE QUESTION
Ask which side of the transaction you sit on. If the honest answer is “we run the process and market it to buyers,” look at MadeMarket. If the honest answer is “a CIM lands, we screen it against our own mandate, and a decision has to get made,” that is the job Avise was built for.
