Affinity does something genuinely hard well. It reads the email and calendar traffic across your firm and turns it into a live map of who knows whom, how warm each relationship is, and which of your colleagues can make an introduction. If your deals arrive through a network, that is not a feature. It is the whole business, automated.
It is also one of the few serious vendors in this market that publishes a price. We do too, so this comparison can be honest in a way most cannot.
Affinity leads with “the AI-first private capital CRM” and “your next deal is in your network”. The second line is the product thesis, and it is worth taking at face value: Affinity is built on the belief that your network is where deals come from.

The arithmetic
Affinity publishes list pricing per user, per year: Essential at $2,000, Scale at $2,300, Advanced at $2,700, with Enterprise quoted. No minimum seat count or contract length is published, and there is no free trial or self-serve signup.

Avise is $249 a month per firm, $2,988 a year, whole team included, published in full. Both numbers are list, so they can simply be put side by side.
List price at four team sizes: Affinity Essential at $2,000 per user per year, against Avise at a flat per-firm rate. Affinity pricing checked 18 August 2026.

At one person Affinity is cheaper. At two it is roughly level. Past that the per-user line keeps climbing and ours does not, because we do not count seats. At eight people the gap on list price is more than five times.
Per-user pricing does not just cost more at size. It quietly teaches a small firm to keep people off the system, which is how the record stops being true.
That second effect is the one we care about. When a seat has a price, a four-person firm buys two, and the intern and the part-time partner work off screenshots and forwarded email. The deal record is then only as good as the two people paying for it.
BE FAIR ABOUT THIS
Price per seat is a real argument, not a knockout one. If Affinity’s relationship graph wins you one deal you would otherwise have missed, the licence is irrelevant and so is this table. Buy the thing that does the job you actually have.
They are not the same job
The pricing comparison is the easy part. The real question is what each product is for.
Affinity’s job: who do we know
Sourcing and relationships. Whose contact is this, how warm is it, who can introduce us, what happened last time we spoke. It is a customer relationship manager, shaped precisely for private capital.
Our job: what is happening on this deal
Execution and documents. The teaser, the non-disclosure agreement you sent, the scoped link you shared, the data room, the model, the memo, and who has seen which of them. The unit is the deal rather than the contact.
Affinity has no data room and no memo builder. Its Ascend agent platform, launched 21 July 2026, announced a Document Synthesis capability that would read pitch decks, teasers and confidential information memoranda out of an inbox, described as upcoming rather than shipped. If document work matters to you, check where that has got to rather than trusting this paragraph.

One thing often reported unfairly
You will read that Affinity charges implementation fees. That is half the story: standard onboarding is included with every subscription, and only additional work (complex data migration, custom field mapping) is scoped and priced separately. The amount is not disclosed.

Who should buy Affinity instead
- Your deals come from your network. If your pipeline is built on relationships across a partnership, the graph is worth more than anything on our feature list.
- You are one or two people. At that size the price difference is a rounding error, so buy on capability alone.
- You need a customer relationship manager, not a deal system. If your documents are handled elsewhere and the gap is contact management, that is what Affinity is.
The two are not mutually exclusive, either. Affinity lists Grata among its enrichment sources; this category is less winner-takes-all than its marketing suggests. Firms do run a sourcing tool alongside an execution system, and if you have the budget for both, that is a coherent stack.
THE ONE QUESTION
When a deal dies at your firm, ask why. If it died because you never got the introduction, buy Affinity. If it died because a document went unanswered, a follow-up slipped, or nobody could say who had seen the financials, that is ours.
